Augusta Water Damage Work

The pipe burst and covered this old rough looking floor with some water. The Augusta property was vacant at the time, so the water settled into the floorboards and wicked up a section of drywall. SERVPRO water damage restoration crews understand the need to remove any residual moisture along with non-salvageable building materials--mainly the sheetrock lower wall section. The After Photo depicts a controlled demolition where only the minimal amount of drywall was removed--called a flood cut. A biocide was sprayed in all the areas affected by the water loss to deter the growth of microorganisms, especially molds. We can monitor the room with moisture meters and Thermo hygrometers to achieve the desired moisture content for all the raw wood in this older building.
